Husqvarna launches robotic lawn mower dubbed Automower 305

By Shane McGlaun on Wed Feb 23rd, 2011
Husqvarna has been around for a long time and way back in the day the company made some dirt bikes. Today it is more known for lawn and garden items like lawnmowers. The latest offering from Husqvarna is a sweet robotic lawnmower for the person with a smaller yard called the Automower 305.
The robotic lawnmower is a smaller device that weighs about 7kg and it has an anti-theft system with an alarm and a pin code to prevent the mower from being stolen. The mower is battery powered and can run 40 minutes on a full charge and that full charge takes about 150 minutes.
The mower can move at 35cm/s and comes with wire and staples to allow the owner to define the range the mower needs to operate in. The big downside of the device is the price, at 1490 EUR it’s not cheap. The mower is good for lawns that are up to 500 m2.
